Zawadi Kwa Africa Project

Zawadi is the Swahili word for "Gift" and "Kwa" means "For". "Gift for Africa" is a drive started by two friends, Jacqueline Mujaya and Dacia Stanford. The focus is to collect items such as clothes, books, toys,etc for Orphanages in Tanzania and deliver them directly to the Orphanage's door - no middle man! This blog is to capture all of the wonderful moments made possible by all of you. Our first focus will be the Yatima Foundation, Mbagala which is home to 150 children.

Africa Clothes Drive

My good friend and I are collecting clothes, books, items, etc for an orphanage in Tanzania - YATIMA Foundation-Mbagala (the name of the orphanage). If you are in Japan, please let us know if you have any summer clothes that you no longer need/want - baby/ young adult clothing, toys, books, etc are very welcome. Remember nothing is too small and a little goes a long way.
