Zawadi Kwa Africa Project

Zawadi is the Swahili word for "Gift" and "Kwa" means "For". "Gift for Africa" is a drive started by two friends, Jacqueline Mujaya and Dacia Stanford. The focus is to collect items such as clothes, books, toys,etc for Orphanages in Tanzania and deliver them directly to the Orphanage's door - no middle man! This blog is to capture all of the wonderful moments made possible by all of you. Our first focus will be the Yatima Foundation, Mbagala which is home to 150 children.

Success!

I am happy to announce that our first set of boxes arrived at the Mbagala Orphanage in Tanzania this weekend - the kids are so happy. Photos have been posted on our Facebook page, please stop by, have a look, leave a comment!!!
